The adaptation of the Aceh community to its environment can be seen from the form of Rumoh Aceh in the form of stage, its pillars ang made of wood choice, the walls of the board. Natural use can also be seen when they want to combine parts of the house, they do not use nails but use pegs or ropes of rattan. Although only made of wood, with palm leaves, and no nails, Rumoh Aceh can last up to 200 years.

The uniqueness of the house of Aceh lies on its roof. For example, when there is a fire accident on the roof then the owner of the house only cut one rope just so that the entire roof of the house connected to the rope directly fall out.
The construction of Aceh's house must face north and south so that the rays of sunlight are easy to enter.
