RE: My Emotional Gaming Moments

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, the stories are only just a little bit different... the main bulk of the story is pretty much the same, but each play through does have just that little bit of personal flavour that means you feel some ownership over the story. That is where the emergent story games shine out (like XCOM or any of the grand strategy games from Paradox)... only a loose main story, but the real stories are in the micro and the personal playing of the game!

Sort:

XCOM does it amazing. It's a game where the reward is not the destination, instead it's the destination, it's what you've forged and what you've managed to do with all your resources and your comrades. I do get the love for XCOM, It's something you can't get anywhere else o:

Agreed... I have to say, it is almost the embodiment of my perfect game! 90 percent I think...

Ooh o: Do you recommend playing XCOM that much? o: It's always been a little intimidating to me!

Oh yes, XCom2 with long war mod (I haven't tried the latest official expansion)! It will test you, you will lose some but the struggle is worth it! When you get small victories that are hard fought, they are worth so much more!

If you are brave (I'm not!), go with the Ironman mode on!

Hey now i'm inclined to get Xcom if I ever got the chance! I'll be sure to let you know if that happens!
