Elon Musk will be CEO of Apple in 5 years time (I started writing this months ago)

I started writing this article at least 4 months ago. I opened my steemit account and saw the writing in progress. I suppose I’ll finish my thoughts now.

The most insane dream scenario of people who love big time entrepreneurs would be Elon Musk being CEO of Apple. Sound crazy? It’s not.

Here is the scenario in which it could happen:

First, Apple is repatriating $252 billion dollars with the intent of investing that money in the United States. This gives Apple the perfect opportunity to acquire Tesla Motors. This will also give Tesla a cash infusion to be able to expand as rapidly as needed.

This acquisition makes sense on a few different levels. First, Tesla deals a lot in lithium battery technology. Apple does as well. Both companies invest considerable amounts of money in finding the next generation of battery technology. This type of synergy is good for both of them. Second, both companies are heavily invested in car technology. With the separation of Tesla from MobilEye, Tesla needs a partner such as Apple that can make up the difference.

Tesla is experiencing a lot of difficulty. This difficulty is due to their debt, their credit downgrading, and the overautomation of their factories. The stock of Tesla Motors is declining. This makes them easier to acquire by Apple. They have great brand recognition and would be a good fit with Apple.

When the two companies merge, Elon Musk will have plenty of cash and plenty of influence within Apple. He might not rise immediately to the level of CEO within Apple, maybe he will go on some Steve Jobsian walkabout, but he will inevitably return and rise to power.

Anyways, this is a random prediction I wanted to put out there.
