I have to say that I​ tried steepshot just one time.
So the main difference would be atechnical​l aspect.
Appics is using the Smart Media Tokens.

New tokens will be distributed but they are still built​ on the STEEM Blockchain.
That means that not STEEM defines your weight in the community but the XRP token.
More XRP token the more power you will have same like hare on steemit.
