Prophecy of Jesus: Men will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:26

Like the Old Testament prophets such as Isaiah and Daniel, Jesus also prophesied. And this is so because in the Sacred Scriptures the prophecy is described as a gift from God, a gift through which God makes known his eternal plan to men. Lord Jesus not only anticipated his own crucifixion, death and resurrection, but as the Gospel of Luke recounts, after the triumphal entry of Jesus into the Holy City on a donkey, he made a prophecy about the destruction of the city of Jerusalem at the hands of the Roman Empire, an event that finally occurred in the year 70 AD.
It is assumed that Jesus also in the same gospel described times that have not yet been fulfilled, times related to his second coming and the end of times. Jesus described in a very general way and without establishing many details a time when great natural disasters accompanied the emergence of very destructive wars, something that the clairvoyant Nostradamus and others seers also recounted in his texts: "Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands" Luke 21:10-11.
This story that Jesus told has many similarities with what happens in modern times, and it would not be surprising if this prophecy were fulfilled in very near future. In fact, Nostradamus describes the third and last antichrist, who would bring the most destructive war for humanity, what would bring with it later a new era of universal peace.
Jesus prophesied that these would be times of great fear for all humanity, a time where faith and hope would be tested in the hearts of men: "Men will faint from fear and anxiety over what is coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken" Luke 21:26.
Jesus concluded his prophecy with an exhortation to live attentive and vigilant: "Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen" Luke 21:36. For Jesus, being a follower of his teachings meant, above all, knowing how to discern the times and living prepared.
