RE: Enter Anthropocene: Searching for Signals in New Orleans
The 2nd take is twice as good! Your thoughts are always so insightful.
The only exception might be the Holocene, which is the epoch that we will be in until the Anthropocene becomes formally set...even though we aren't really in the Holocene anymore temporally.
It may have just been a test at the time, but Ivy Mike has definitely had a lasting impact. The rate at which we have altered the planet in the last 300 years definitely merits the distinction, but I agree there is not much comfort to take therein.
Thank you for continually reading and sharing my work. I am grateful to have your support and comments - even the one floating in the cyber-ether!
You are so gracious. I consider it a privilege to read your reports from field and to communicate with you.
Have the most wonderful day. And have fun out there :)
