I came across the white carpet in the center of the ice sheet....ANTARCTICA!!!
Maybe we all take care of our own things. But sometimes our souls do not want pure air, they are very few in nature. And that's why people want to get lost in the unstoppable edge. They want to take the fragrance filled with the book which is not possible in the populated city.
We'll be away from a place where people are clad in a fog and snow cover. Many people have thought of it so far. I'm talking about the country of Antarctica in the south.
The country's coldest, driest continental region, covered with ice cover.
Antarctica is a desert with annual precipitation of only 200mm along the coast and far less island. The temperature in Antarctica has reached -89.2 °C.Though the average for the third quarter (the coldest part of the year) is -63 °C.The continent, however, remained largely neglected for the rest of the 19th century because of its hostile environment, lack of easily accessible resources, and isolation. In 1895, the first confirmed landing was conducted by a team of Norwegians.
South Shetland Islands
The islands have been claimed by the UK since 1908 and have been part of the British Antarctic Territory since 1962.The South Shetland Islands are a group of Antarctic islands, lying about 120 kilometres north of the Antarctic Peninsula, with a total area of 3,687 square kilometres.
Deception Island
The island previously held a whaling station; it is now a tourist destination and scientific outpost, with Argentine and Spanish research bases. While various countries have asserted sovereignty, it is still administered under the Antarctic Treaty System.
King George Island
This island was first claimed for Britain on 16 October 1819,this island discovered and named by the British explorer William Smith.Human habitation of King George Island is limited to research stations belonging to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China and many other country's.
Elephant Island
he island is situated 245 kilometres north-northeast of the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula, 1,253 kilometres westsouthwest of South Georgia, 935 kilometres south of the Falkland Islands, and 885 kilometres southeast of Cape Horn.Elephant Island is an ice-covered mountainous island off the coast of Antarctica in the outer reaches of the South Shetland Islands, in the Southern Ocean. Its name was given by early explorers sighting elephant seals on its shores.
