Raphtalia of " The Rising of the Shield Hero " Fan Art

Raphtalia Fan Art.jpg

Hello again everyone :3! While I'm stuck at doing my third chapter of my comics, I made an anime fan art of Raphtalia in my own art style.

First... Who is Raphtalia?

Raphtalia is the tanuki demi-human who becomes popular after the debut of the anime " Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari " or simply " The Rising of the Shield Hero ". The anime series is still on going and it became popular because of its good plot and cute characters. Raphtalia's first appearance made the fans into awe and even attracted many viewers!

Raphtalia is Naofumi's aide ( The Shield Hero ) and the first member of Naofumi's team. She's been purchased by Naofumi as a slave and treat her in his kindness. Raphtalia first appeared as a child and then grew into a fine young woman after the series. In my art, I drew Raphtalia in her matured state and in my own art style ( maybe I will redraw her later together with Naofumi and Filo ( their other companion who is also cute :3 ) with the original anime style).

That's all I can tell, I'm also watching the series recently so I don't have a greater info about Raphtalia. If you want to know more about her, click here. My reference about the character is also there.

If you also want to watch the anime series, you can search it through the websites. I can't give you one since I might violate some rules (or did I already). I recommend it for those who likes watching anime with an isekai(another world) theme.

For starters, I'll also show you how I made my art :3
Raphtalia 01.jpg

I started from sketching the body of the character first. I sketch a circle on the head for the guide of my art style.

Next, I continued sketching her face, ears, hair, clothing, gloves, boots, tail and the like until I finished sketching her.

For the next step, I inked her using a technical pen and erased the pencil marks later on.

After that, I add some shading and highlights to make some emphasis on her.

After I finished shading the other parts, I colored her with her original colors ( and mixed some of them to have a distinct color ) using color pencils. For the finishing touches, I also added some color background later on :3.

And that's how I drew Raphtalia!

But if you were noticed at the first image, there is some stains around her eyes and the sides of the paper is a bit crumpled. I deeply apologize for that kind of mistakes :l.

Anyway, thanks for reading and viewing my art! If you want suggestions about anime and such, let me know through the comments! I hope you appreciated it :3.

See 'ya again at my next post!

She looks cute but seems as if she's a little opinionated with something here in this picture XD Adorable ! I like the pose and I also like that you include more about her and about her series without spoiling people who hasn't seen the series :D

Really like the step by step presentation, as well, @t1ntaliri ! A very lovely post <3

Haha thanks again @veryspider! I was really careful about having spoilers :3
