Introducing myself - PVG

Hi there, I'm new to the community and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm an Animator/Animation Director working in the Television/Film industry since 2000 and am now in my mid 50's. As I get older I know the work will not always be there for me so I'm looking for ways to supplement my income and thought this community might be a great way to share my experiences, meet some new people and earn some dollars along the way.

I'm very much a fan of Open Source software and do all my work in Open Source packages in particular Blender for 3D animation. I have a blog dedicated to learning Blender (http://blendertutorials.tumblr.com/) and a blog for learning animation and inspiration (http://animatorial.tumblr.com/) and my website is www.vangaans.com

My interests also include painting, photography and riding motorcycles and I plan to produce and share content around those categories as well.

This is all new to me, very much looking forward to seeing how this new adventure pans out.
