I like to write poems for kids, especially about animals.

THE ZOO HOUSE

Koalas in the kitchen
Playing with some flour,
Bears in the bathroom
Climbing up the shower,
Lizards lying in the lounge
Soaking up the heat,
Donkeys in the dining room
With cakes and buns to eat.

Bats in the bedroom
Hanging from the light,
Goats in the garden
Having quite a fight,
Leopards lurking in the loft
Looking for their lunch,
Serpents in the cellar
Coiled up in a bunch.

Hamsters in the hallway
Rolling round in cans,
Wombats in the window
Waving to their fans,
Ravens sitting on the roof
Making quite a fuss,
Gorillas by the front gate
Waiting for a bus.

Wouldn't it be great to have
A house that's like a zoo,
For animals to live in
Just like me and you!
