Found this poor little hedgehog in a car park, nowhere near any grassy areas, poor thing had been abandoned

At first I thought I'd just take a picture and drive off.

But look at that little face!

So I got a cardboard box from the shop and and drove him home...he pooped on my seats.

To begin with he was very scared to be handled at all.

We used an old hamster cage as a temporary hedgehog abode and he perked up quickly.

Gorged himself of some cat food and fell asleep like this.

Now he's totally tame and loves being handled (we're cautious of spines and fleas though). He loves being picked up.

We even gave him a little bath before giving him some new accommodation.

Here's his new hedgehog house, safe from predators and regularly stocked with food so he can come and go as he pleases.

He's been out already today but is currently back, safe and sound, sleeping in his new nest! So now, we have a resident pet hedgehog.

It's really awesome that you took him in and gave him a home! Koodos to you! He is a big hedgehog from where I come from, they are small here (Canada). He's so cute!
Though probably scared, it looks lovely. Good deed mate :)
I didn't think they came out until it starts getting dark. Good to know it's Okay
