The first preoccupation with humans has many objectives; Like - games, traditions, doctor medicines etc. were used in large quantities. The initiative of "Project Tiger" was done by the Government of India in April 1973 to control the number of tigers. Due to the eradication of the tiger's life, the most threat is due to the depletion of forests, which is causing harm to their species and they are migrating to other places. There are about eight species of tigers and the Indian species is called the Royal Bengal Tiger. Tigers (except in the north-western part) are found almost in the entire country. Only a few years after the launch of Project Tiger Campaign, there has been a huge increase in the number of tigers in India. According to the 1993 census of tigers, the total number of tigers in the country was approximately 3,750. Under the Project Tiger, nearly 23 conservation centers (in the area of 33,406 sq. Km) were established in the entire country.Tiger (Tiger) as a national animal. The tiger has been selected as the national animal of India due to this power, strength and agility. It has also been chosen as a national animal due to its names like King of the Jungle and Royal Bengal Tiger. What is Project Tiger?Project Tiger is a campaign run by the Indian government. This campaign has been started to maintain and protect the number of tigers in India. This campaign was started in 1973 to save the tigers from the scourge of extinction. The scheme focuses on securing the surviving tigers in the country as well as increasing the number through breeding in their species. Around 23 tiger habitations have been built to provide protection and natural environment for tigers throughout the country. After this scheme, in the census conducted in 1993, the number of tigers has seen remarkable improvements. Although the number of tigers has increased in India, however, the number of tigers in the country is still not satisfactory compared to the money spent in this scheme.
