Wildlife video I shot and edited about a lake in the jungles of Southern Thailand
The jungles of Khao Sok have gibbons, dusky langurs, hornbills, pig-tailed macaque monkeys, and so much more. In fact those are just what I captured in this video. I really hope to go back another time with a better zoom lens and try to shoot some wild elephants.
On a side note, I'm trying to put myself more into my videos. It's hard, and I'm a bit awkward on camera, but I think I'll get there eventually.
Thanks for watching!
That's a breath-taking adventure with all the nature around you! While I can relate to most of the sceneries because I am also in a tropical country, I haven't yet seen monkeys and birds still enjoying themselves while camera is rolling. You must have a very good zoom lens to have captured them without scaring them away.
I made a quick check on Google map and noted that Khao Sok is near Phuket. How far is the travel time from there? Are there public transportation to the park or is there a need for private car service?
Thanks for sharing your video here. I love the hornbill, by the way.
hey thanks for watching and commenting! It's actually a pretty cheap lens but it's 300mm equivalent so a decent amount of zoom. The secret is shooting 4k and punching in on the footage to 1080p... that and adding stabilization. It's probably about 2 to 3 hours from Phuket. I'm sure there are minibuses that go there that can be booked but I flew from Bangkok to Surat Thani so I'm not 100% sure.
That is still a great video for a cheap lens. I gotta keep your secret when I get the chance to shoot next time...
Oh, you came from Bangkok. I thought you hit the nearest city first. How long was the flight from Bangkok then?
Beautiful video and your created it like a documentary author, I do not know if you have done any professional video but this one is absolutely gorgeous. Watching it I had to think about pirates movies when they land on unknown tropical island. Probably it was so too. You are lucky to be able to be there and experience everything as you do and I can imagine that if you have to leave then you want to come back, because such beauty retains your heart :)
Yes! I really do want to go back. Such a beautiful place. Thanks for watching!
I believe such place conquer your heart once and you must return, many people settle there after retirement too :)
I think everyone needs to get used to being on camera. You might be a bit nervous but I like it. At least you don't try to pretend to be someone else.
Your video is very good. The place looks like paradise! I would never enter that cave. It's so dark in there and looks narrow.
That waterfall is very nice. I like that it's so soft and you can simply stand there with no danger.
The wildlife there is fascinating. I've never seen a monkey in nature. It must be a great experience. Especially when they are stuffing themselves with figs :)
Thank you for sharing! It's been a pleasure to watch your video :)
Hey! Thanks for watching and giving feedback. Much appreciated :) Yeah it's really a great place
Its awesome man :)
Thanks!
¡Hola @dispatches!
Hello there!
Thank you for taking us to see the wildlife of Thailand. Its a different scenery for me because usually I see videos of other countries where they mostly focuses on food and tourist spots. I love how you have captured the animals especially the climbing gibbons.
You dont look bad, you have been great. I agree, you should do more videos. In the long run, your ackwardness will soon fade away. You seem very natural, you will go a long way.
Keep it up! Cheers!
