The Unique Facts of Vultures

in #animal7 years ago

Birds or Birds Carcasses or Nasar Birds are vultures and animals that have died, either naturally or by being killed (by themselves, other animals, or humans). Vultures can be found on all continents except Antarctica and Oceania.

Characteristics of herring is bald head, no fur except fuzz. Research shows that this plays an important role in democratizing.

The vulture is divided into two groups: the Old World Vulture and the New World Vulture. The equation of both is that they are divided by convergent evolution.

Birds rarely attack healthy prey, but are likely to injure, even kill, sick or injured prey. If the prey is too large to eat alone, they generally wait for the biggest hering to finish eating first. Not infrequently the battle involving herring in large numbers. They will stop eating until their cigar is full. They do not bring food for the young herring with their claws, but with their cache for vomiting again. The heroin lambungburung is very acidic and corrosive so that the bacteria present in the carcass (Botulinum, Cholera, Anthrax, etc.) will not survive through the stomach so that it is safe for their digestion.

It never seems to occur to anyone that different species of vultures could have different habits. As we now know, apart from the similarity, African and American vultures have no close family relationship. Therefore, there is no reason to assume that they are looking for food in the same way. Indeed we now know that African vultures find food really with their eyesight, while many American vulture species have only a sharp sense of smell.

In 1930, new evidence emerged that increased the debate. At that time, California gas companies were struggling to find any leaks along the 48-km pipeline that drain gas in difficult terrain. An important fact is found when one observes that vultures appear to be attracted to the location of a gas leak. The birds seem to be interested in the smell of gas, or the smell of mercaptans, odorous substances mixed in commercial gas to avoid potential harm. To test that fact, the gas company increased the amount of mercaptan in the gas, then observed another fact: vultures instead gathered over the leak site and pinpointed the pipeline that needed repair. The cause is ethyl mercaptan (a type of chemical in the form of an alcohol solution) which is also produced by the carcass of animals in the first stage of decay. This gas attracts vultures, meaning it can be concluded that they are attracted to carcasses because of their sense of smell.
