Socialism Sucks #2
Theft
Socialism has long been thought of as the "moral" ideology, as it supposedly provides the community as a whole the democratic control of the means of production, and also provides socialized ownership of facilities and property. Socialism advertises itself as being the solution to inequality and economic hardship among citizens, but by what means does it intend to solve these problems?
Much like communism, socialism targets the rich and well-off for their wealth, in order to give it to those who "need" it. It does so by taxing the hell out of them and/or socializing everything they own. This act can be easily compared to a robbery on the street, the difference being that the criminal is stealing not on behalf of himself, but on behalf of a collective. No matter who you give your stolen riches to, they are still stolen.
A man robs you for everything you have at gunpoint.
He runs off with your wealth into the night.
When he arrives at his house, he redistributes all of your stuff among his neighbors. Is it justified?
Socialism is theft. The government (or the collective force) threatens you with jail-time or some other form of punishment, if you don't pay your taxes, if you don't give up what you have worked for. It is simple to understand. No robbery is justified, we can all agree on that.
The reason for this ideology's popularity is because it provides a less radicalized version of communism. Socialism does not "abolish" the state, it only makes it bigger. Politicians can use it to promise "free" stuff for citizens (at least the ones that don't pay taxes) and to take the apparent moral high-ground in the situation.
In summary, socialism is criminal. It uses force to steal from the wealthy, threatening them with jail-time and punishment. The aggression used by the state or the collective is completely unjustified, and can be compared to the behavior of many oppressive regimes that exist or have existed in the past. Socialists will always see their theft as justified, therefore they have a similar mindset to that of a thief, to that of a criminal.

"Socialism is the doctrine that man has no right to exist for his own sake, that his life and his work do not belong to him, but belong to society, that the only justification of his existence is his service to society, and that society may dispose of him in any way it pleases for the sake of whatever it deems to be its own tribal, collective good."

That just about sums it up.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. - Winston Churchill
