Does anyone actually think our social system is a success?

Does anyone actually think our social system is a success? Its been successful for the people who claimed the right to create it, but is it a success overall? Sure, the money idea has propagated in a big way. There are millionaires and billionaires, and supposedly, soon to be trillionaires out there. Yet, we have war, mass poverty, homelessness, preventable disease, hunger, violence, waste, pollution, outdated energy methods, way outdated infrastructure, poor quality food, poor quality education, poor solutions to drug abuse, poor solutions to mental illness, massive division within the human race, massive greed, massive inequality, numerous irrational laws, massive exploitation, etc., etc., etc. What's the success? These things I listed should be considered unacceptable if we are going to consider ourselves civilized. Sure, the establishment has been mad successful in violently imposing their interests upon humanity. They are successful at having everyone be labor slaves for life. They are successful conditioning the masses to be obedient and fearful. But, the "ruling class" has been an abysmal failure at creating a cohesive, sustainable, rational, efficient society. What is our success going the be - the peoples success? Its time to start our own legacy, one not dictated by the megalomaniacal.
