What’s it all about?

This Is Holland is a 5D flight simulator that takes you on a breathtaking aerial tour of the Netherlands. But before you take off, you’ll walk through three short but super engaging rooms that explain how the Dutch built their country — often literally, by reclaiming land from the sea.

You’ll learn about polders, dikes, canals, and the fascinating engineering that keeps the country dry. It’s educational, but presented in a way that’s fun and easy to digest. Then, comes the main event: a 9–10 minute flight experience where your seat lifts off, moves with the visuals, and you feel wind, mist, and even smells as you fly over famous Dutch landmarks.

It’s a sensory-packed ride over canals, windmills, tulip fields, and the coastline — all projected on a massive dome screen that surrounds you. It’s the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground!

What’s included in the visit?

Intro rooms (1–3): Short immersive videos about Dutch geography, water management, and innovation
Main show (Part 4): The 5D flight over 22 real Dutch locations — UNESCO sites, cities, countryside, and more
Chill-out area: Browse, reflect, and take in the experience with some photos or a snack

How to get there?

It’s super easy — This Is Holland is located at Overhoeksplein 51, Amsterdam Noord, just across the river from Central Station. Take the free ferry (Buiksloterweg) behind the station — it only takes 5 minutes.

The whole experience takes about 45–60 minutes, with new shows starting every 15 minutes. Booking in advance is recommended, especially on weekends and during holidays.
