Amazing World Part 2 - Lascaux Cave , France

On September 12, 1940 CE four boys found this cave by accident when their dog had fallen in the narrow entrance of this cave.
Marcel Ravidat was first to enter the cave and then rest of three followed him. The boys were amazed by the paintings they found on the walls of the cave and next day they told about the cave to their teacher. After this incident, the cave became huge tourist attraction.
Lascaux cave is situated in the south west France near a village Montignac. This cave houses more than 600 prehistoric images. Most of the images are of animals, one famous one is Bull in motion. Besides images there are 1400 engravings as well. These images are famous for exceptional quality, size and sophistication. These are estimated over 20,000 years old.
But these hauntingly beautiful cave are in peril. The original cave are airlock now and same replica has been created nearby for the general public.
