Pakistani Paratha Easy Recipe

A paratha is a flat bread that originated in the Pakistan subcontinent. It is still prevalent throughout India and Burma and Nepal, where wheat is grown and is the traditional staple of the area.
Paratha is an amalgamation of the words parat and atta which literally means layers of cooked dough.
Paratha is without a doubt a significant segment of Pakistani food. It is a flat bread that is cooked on a level container or tawa(frying pan) with ghee or oil. It is one of the Basic Food of Pakistan that can be brought with basically anything from pickle to meat or eggs.

Whether you are a cook or an expert, this paratha recipe will help you make best parathas ever. This Pakistani-Indian flat bread is similar to chappati (roti) however it can have many different variations including Potato Paratha,Methi paratha,Onion Paratha,Mooli paratha etc.Today we are going to make plain and easy paratha.

Ingredients;

2 cups Wheat flour
½ cup oil
1 cup of water (You can add more)
1 Roller (to flatten the flour)
Frying Pan
Tissue towel paper

Method;

In a bowl take whole wheat flour ,add 2-3 tsp of oil and ½ cup of water.
Mix and knead into a smooth soft dough.
Add more water if required while kneading.
Knead well to make the dough soft.
Wrap it in a moist cloth and set aside for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough to 8 parts.
Take a part of the dough and make a round ball with 1 tsp of oil inside the flour.
Flour the rolling area.

Put the round ball on the roller and roll it until it became flatten and keep the size round like a plate.(size up to you).
Keep rolling and make a circle around 1/8 inches .It should be little bit thick not very thin.
Take a pan and pour 1 tsp of oil and make it hot now put the flattened paratha in the pan.
Turn the side of the paratha and put 2-3 tsp of oil and cook it on medium low flame.
Change the side frequently and cook till the color turns to golden brown.
Both sides should be cooked properly when you see the color is golden brown and looks crispy.
Remove from the pan and put on tissue towel paper to drain the oil.

Paratha is Ready ENJOY.
