PSI Factor - Frightening possibility?

For those that haven't seen this show, PSI Factor was a Dragnet style show for it's 1st 2 seasons. They would take an actual case and change the names of those involved.

 I looked into this one and while I couldn't get much more info than was shown here except for the date. It may be a coincidence but this occurrence coincides with one of the times CERN was ramped up to full power. I often wonder if they really understand what that installation is capable of.
