A short pun as dictated by Gary the Gravy-monger, who comes up to you and speaks ill of the queen. Later he will be executed for his treason but at the time of writing he is a free man, speaking openly on matters of gravy and meat.steemCreated with Sketch.

"As certain as gravy on a Sunday, those despicable beings who put gelatine in lollies will get their jus desserts."

Intriguing... I love bon mots. 🤓 What does this one mean?

Oh, it's a very good pun. Gelatine is made by boiling meat and bones, which is vaguely similar to how jus is made – a kind of gravy made from meat juices. So if you put gelatine in a sweet dish, it becomes a jus dessert – which sounds a bit like "just desert", or comeuppance.

Aha, I suspected it was juicy :) Thanks, for walking me through that!
