Volatility Warning: SPS
Splinterlands Shards (SPS) have broken the upper end of the Keltner channel. This may suggest greater than average volatility.
How to Read the Chart
The middle line is a moving average price, or average recent price, of SPS. The top and bottom lines represent the typical fluctuation of SPS price. Therefore, the shaded area represents "normal" price fluctuation. Anything outside of that shaded area represents a high than normal fluctuation, also known as "high volatility".
Why Does This Matter?
This could pose a risk to those who engage in market arbitrage as an increased likelihood of market swings may also lead to greater inventory risk. If a trader buys SPS on one market, intending to sell it lower on another market, then the trader does not want a highly volatile market to change the sale price before they can sell.
This is not financial advice.
