If he can not ever fly, then he fell into the best place possible. You are a good soul. I know you will take good care of him.

Trust me, I'm the lucky one in this relationship.
I can see it now........

Halloween, Ewe with an eye patch and Ru in a parrot costume!
The crazy parrots in my neighborhood imitate the crows. It's the strangest thing. Not sure if they are mocking them or trying to fit in. The parrots out number the crows (an aviary caught fire several years ago and they released the parrots to save them).
Just now saw the video, love the bird tree. Very intelligent creatures. I guess he won't ever be in the wild the shootem up games with Manny is cool (I didn't realize he had that bad of an injury
This was Trixzee my rescued Hummingbird. Broken shoulder from falcon attack. I had to have her put down, but what a joy she was when she was here.
I have a really (really really) old polaraid pic of me holding a little humming bird I rescued when I was a kid. It lived about an hour after I took it away from my cat. I was so sad there was nothing I could do to help it. It broke my heart. I gave it a funeral- my mom (who knew what was going to happen when I "saved" it) attended the service along with my barbies so there would be at least some loved-ones in the audience. My mom was a smart lady. Poor little thing... looking back, it would have been more humane to let the cat eat it instead of bleeding to death slowly. Had I known then what I know now, I would have done the job a lot better.
I can not tell you how many coffins I have built and funerals I have attended for my nieces pet rats. Some day someone will dig them up and say WTF!!!
I have built many a coffin for Barbies too! Actually there is pretty good money in Barbie death and bondage items. I have a lot of strange customers.
I had one hummingbird I saved by removing the bee off of its beak. I thought it was dead. I blew in its face and it opened its little eyes, looked around, looked at me and flew up in air then back down towards my face. That little bird spent the rest of its life hanging out at the feeder I have outside my bedroom window.
I am working on some miniature crows I will send you a pic when I finish one.
LMFAO
I love how she runs down the hill
We had a veritable parrot and chicken population explosion after Katrina in NOLA. Some pet birds escaped the flood and just started multiplying in the abandoned city. It was the Summer of the Bird that year. To this day, there are whole neighborhoods that make up their territories and you have to cross the street when you cross their path or they go on the offensive! So many dangers in this swamp!!
Birds can be brutal. I was trying to photograph the baby falcon who the parents pushed from the nest and they have to fly to get back up there. I was there with my camera the these two birds come at me talons out.
A few years later I was in my garage and I heard a strange noise and looked up and there was a baby falcon sitting on my wood rack. After the last time I knew mom and dad weren't far so I decided to go in the house. They are very protective and keep the young up to three years.
