Hi @Michaelluchies. I'm curious to hear some peoples ideas. If you were to build a new version of Steem, what things would do differently? How would you redesign the platform?
Well, I am not anywhere near qualified to give an educated answer, but it's a good question and I do like sharing random opinions :-).
Steem as a blockchain or Steemit?
I'm interested in social media blockchain. What else is there besides Steem? I'd like to see a debate platform made, where there is an advanced rating system, so users with good ideas could gain some traction. I'd also like to see integration with corporate sponsors and advertising, to get money into the system.
Interesting concept. The name escapes me, but there is a platform where users get rewards for feedback and discussions. There are also several review rewarding startups on the blockchain like Futourist.io.
Social media: There are some new players but many have really failed to design a solid product. Sphere, OnG Social, LBRY (video sharing but social-network-ish), don't look like contenders at all. The real player, once it's ready, will be EOS' version of Steemit.
