Aircoins - An App for the Coin Collecting Freak in All of Us

Are you a shameless crypto coin collector? I'm not talking about owning five or ten different coins. I mean everything you can get your grubby digital hands on. Like buying-a-coin-because-it-has-a-cool-name level of collecting.

If the answer is yes (or even maybe) then I have an app for you. Aircoins is an Augmented Reality (AR) treasure hunt app where you can track down and collect cryptocurrencies. Think PokemonGo, but instead of collecting Pokemons, you're collecting coins.

Aircoins spawns airdropped coins on your map and when you switch to Augmented Reality mode, you see the landscape and your coinprey floating in the air before you. Tap it and it gets bagged into your wallet. It's interactive crypto. You can see a list of all the coins you have snagged, including collectibles like a one-year anniversary coin and holiday specials.

Currently there are over two dozen coins represented. You can get hundreds of DarkMatter (DMX) or their own Aircoins (AIRx) in one shot or smaller quantities, or even fractions, of other coins.

Most coins are not well-known, but they do have Dash (DASH), Digibyte (DGB), and just this past week have added BinanceCoin (BNB). Initially, BNB was only available to find in the app at special locations in select cities around the world - Las Vegas, Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and Singapore. But Aircoins followed up that special event by adding BNB to the app for all users worldwide on October 22nd.

The app is simple and easy to use and available for iOS and Android. It's still early and there is much development to do. It has only been possible to withdraw Aircoins and Dash so far, and that feature is currently disabled as they upgrade their security.

But the team is working to re-enable withdrawals and add withdrawal of ERC20 tokens next. Their own Aircoins can be used in the app to buy hunting tools to improve your gathering abilities. Not all of the coins in the app are traded on exchanges but as the ecosystem grows, the possibilities will multiply.

So far, this is a great-looking project. The app is fun and addicting. It doesn't require any crypto knowledge to use and enjoy. But, don't be disillusioned - you won't be picking up thousands of dollars' worth of coins. This is a game. It's for the true crypto freak, coin collector, and gamer. Happy hunting!
