Propaganda In Overdrive! "Future Film Peter Returns Kia" (mirrored)

in #agenda20307 years ago (edited)

So the premise in this Kia Motors vision of Peter Pan goes as such. Hook controls the city of 'Neverland' and is hoarding all the tech that would make life for it's citizens more convenient (Never mind the complete lack of privacy and control for that convenience). Now it's up to Peter Pan, Wendy, a robotic Tinkerbell and a driverless car to stop the evil Captain Hook and make the smart grid available to EVERYONE! (Sarcastic Yay)

Film starts out with TinkerBot warning Pan and Wendy.

The City of Neverland. Every road to the city is jammed, except for the one road that's for "Privileged Class Only" cough white privilege cough cough, Too bad those poor people don't have a driverless vehicles huh?

Just another evil white male, spreading his privilege everywhere.

Hook and Pan are in the midst of a sword fight. Pan, sensing he was in trouble, summons his trusty smart car to give aid.

The Kia scares Hook away with a projection of a crocodile.

WTF? Health care activated? Apparently you can't get treatment without their technology.

Old Hook tries to make his getaway, but with the autonomous driver activated it decided to drive him straight to prison. Having no control over where you can go? NOW THAT'S A SELLING FEATURE!

Well there you have it. THE HAPPY ENDING!

What the royal fuck 🤣😂

Thanks for bringing this to our attention venomnymous.

If ever I felt some confirmation bias, it's right the fuck now. How long have we been talking about this in our growing alt-politics communities?

To think I'll still be in my twenties when they start rolling this shit out. Amazing.

I still remember the powerful effect the I, Robot had on me. They too depicted an over-crowded, driverless car world filled with centrally-controlled AlphabetBots

Luckily, someone from Google had to chutspah to program a free thinking bot that would undue the whole bloody mess and set robots and humans free from the evil Google hive-mind

Crickey it's a Brave New World 😉😅

I know right?

I haven't seen I,robot in so long, I can't remember the story. Might have to check it out again.

First take on an Audi Driverless Car in a dystopian robotic future I ever saw. Date was also 2030.

It was "way out there" back then but since then it's almost mild programming by comparison to what has come out since then.

Will smith was also awesome in the movie so defo check out the first part to see all the themes in the movie. The rest as always is just action movie hollywood drama kind of stuff

Oh my fecking god, I take it that is a advert in the USA then? I do not watch tv so have no idea.

Not sure if it's aired on tv at all. I came across it in a yahoo news article while doing some research for a steemit post.

I grabbed it from Kia worldwide's channel on YouTube.

Oh I see, I will have a dig around to see what I can find in the EU then, cheers my friend.

Real add = Over at a friends place: "hey dude this product actually is pretty useful for what I need it for where can I get it?"

Fake add = Cheese strings turn kids into LOTR characters to fight a dragon while they eat their process cheese... or fruit loops... or wtv crap it is they need to make a whole elaborate story about that has nothing to do with the use of thr actual product.

Yes. It's not so much the product, but rather the brainwashing in the elaborate story that is the focus here.

I get that, but to me its all the same kind of brainwashing.

Kids are going to have such difficulty distinguishing fiction from reality unless advertisers fuck off.

Adult kids are the only ones their propaganda works on for examples like this video.
So lets raise kids to be able to read through the programmed intent just as you have and... problem solved ♡

Yeah, I don't let my kids watch more than a couple episodes of a show in a day (no commercials) and we try to keep the programming educational in nature.
