Introduction
Introduction to enchantment in a different way
its a matter of
survival
lasting
toughness
curiosity
collaboration
and the last and most important part is an exctrafuckinordinary excitement.
and don't be worry nobody died during these trips like the movies that probably you have watched with desperate thirsty people crawling on sands.
here I want to show you the
nature
lifestyle
cultural & monuments of desert
so let start exploring this treasure with a short movie
TOLT a French movie director made a movie almost two years ago about his trip to Persia with me
the movie contain all aspect of Persia included this part of the trip
http://tolt.productions
we started this trip by going directly to the heart of the central desert.
I picked them up at the airport
it took us about 5 hours to reach the very remote part so we set up our tent there to enjoy authentic nature untouched so far by humans
as you can see in the movie
the wind was blowing the sand from the ground makes a very dramatic scenery
then we hiked & explore the huge salt-lake with its astonishing crystals which makes hexagonal shapes at the surface of the salt-lake
and it goes as far as eye can see
we headed deeper and we encounter some wild camels wandering around the savanna. a very unique part of the central desert.
the reason that central desert have savanna is because there is plenty of water underground with all kind of minerals which make them bitter ,salty ,and eve sweat
and as clean as a bottle of water you buy from grocery if its not better even.
the Camels were feeding themselves from the harsh bushes there ,they get the nutrition they need from those plants and even some of the water their body needs
the locals told me a Camel can last about 2 weeks without any water easily in winter.
and in summer its shorten to just a week maximum
they are smart and patience animals indeed
and don't afraid of them they don't spit
so whenever you visit one don't be afraid they are very peaceful and easy going
after camels visit we had to cross part of the dunes to reach the other side of the desert for visiting the caravansary
it took us almost 2 hours with high-tech 4WD car to cross almost 7 miles (10 km) to the other side
have to say crossing dunes is so challenging at driving over them and at the same time very fun
never try it without adequate training or you will stuck there to death
and i mean it ,unfortunately every year about 3-4 amateurs driver dying in crossing dunes due to lack of enough experience
and some others are lucky to survive
I'm myself saved 3 group so far while they were stuck for couple of hours and their supplies started to run out
oh yeah the supplies ,don't forget to have at least supplies for one more day than whole your trip
well enough of frightening stories
driving over dunes when you are expert
its like free roller-coaster without any rail and boundaries
its an unforgettable experience ,super amazing
when we finished the dune part we ended up at very dry land without any hills or natural features so we headed toward caravansary in peace
the caravansary is about 350 years old
its from shah Abbas Safavid era
but renovated recently so its still functional
so you may ask what is caravansary anyway?
its actually kinda old in-between complex like nowadays motels, which merchants or touristic caravans or group of people slept overnight in them in the old times
they were critical element of the famous Silk-road
in my next post i will talk just about the caravansary so you will enjoy how old famous trading Persia route aka silk-road was working
we know the route started from china and end in Rome but if you take a look at history you will see all in-between was Persian empire
more surprise is there was another route from India which called spice road that recently some part of it has been revealed from beneath dunes with a help of strong sandstorm
keep up and also check my French movie director website TOLT for more amazing videos
