NOT a fan of the ads

is anyone else annoyed by them? it is like they are on a timer and appear every minute or so out of the blue, interrupting your reading. I totally understand how advertising works just annoyed at how... intruding and unexpected it is on this site. it takes away from the experience of interacting and navigating through here.
PLEASE look into advertising tools that aren't so annoying.
