Outgoing Rajiv Biswas was a student of 11th batch of sociology department of the university. Rajiv handed over the arrest of IRE Section Officer Mustafizur Rahman in front of the university's main gate on Tuesday. The injured officer was former Vice-Chancellor of the university's university unit BCL.

The university administration said, Rajib had been temporarily suspended from the University on December 6, 2013 for allegedly attacking a law student. After some days, his expulsion was withdrawn. Later, in November last year, he was temporarily suspended for accusation of extortion and marijuana in the temporary shops in the student-teacher center (TSC) of the main gate of the university. He was also expelled from the University's Chhatra League. These two expulsions are still in force. In the meantime, he was permanently expelled as he got involved in the assassination. The party's staff said that Rajib was involved in all the activities of the organization even after being expelled. He was seen in the front row in different rallies and meetings. He was an activist of Jagannath University unit BCL President Tariqul Islam. So his expulsion was only named.

University Proctor office officials said that the exchange of talks between Mustafizur and Rajib started with a fugitive on the opposite side of the main gate of the university on Thursday afternoon, who would send money to a development shop in Fuji Colaba Lab. At one stage of the attack, Mostafizur rushed to the street and stabbed with sticks, Rajiv and his colleagues beat him. The people of the area rescued Mostafizur. Later, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with the help of his colleagues. Rajiv Biswas denied this accusation. He said, 'My friends chased him when he argued with me. He was stabbed while falling on the ground. '

University unit BCL president Tariqul Islam said, Rajib took part in various programs after the expulsion. He can not be driven away. However, the expulsion of BCL has remained in force.
