Walking&thinking - Actifit journals (10.02.2019.) - concert and seminar reviews

in #actifit6 years ago (edited)
Ok, here is the edited version. Thank you all for being patient and waiting for the update. The thing is, I had a very busy weekend with little sleep so when I published the post yesterday, I was too tired to write anything but I did not want my steps to go to waste.

I had a plan to get healthy until Saturday because I had a lot of plans for the weekend. Friends were coming over for pancakes on Saturday afternoon, I had a concert to go on Saturday evening and a full-day lecture on hypnosis on Sunday. Luckily, my plan worked and I was able to do all of it. It really was an amazing weekend and I feel refreshed and full of energy.

At first, I was thinking how there will be no actifit post for Sunday because I will be in lecture all day, which I was. But, since I went to the concert on Saturday and it went on to a couple of hours on Sunday and I did jump and dance around, there is some activity for me to report after all lol. All those steps you see are from dancing for a couple of hours. The rest of the day was pretty much still. The thing that surprised me is that my body is still very young when it comes to getting back to a normal state and recovering. I had a very small amount of sleep, only 4 hours, after the concert (and yes, some mild drinking was involved) but I got up and was able to stay concentrated for the full day of lecture. I did just sleep for 9 hours hahaha, but I guess I needed it after the weekend.

The actifit post for Saturday was published from the concert and written in advance so I do owe you some info about how it went. As you know, I was a bit scared about my agoraphobia kicking in and having a panic attack again because this was my first concert after 4 years and first time to be surrounded with so many people. Nothing bad happened and I am happy beyond words. It is safe to say that I am back to my normal self and can function in a crowd without my body thinking I will die. I am off my meds for two years now but was doing baby steps to get myself back to normal social being. This was a huge victory for me, extremely huge. It gives me the feeling that I am independent again and can function normally. There is a great sense of power in that and I feel liberated from my chains of psychological issues. If you thought that my posts were happy and fluffy until now, you have seen nothing yet. Now they will become even more happy :D

AND NOW FOR THE PHOTOS...

We were pretty close to the stage so my friend managed to take some good ones. It was a great concert and I have really enjoyed myself. I did hurt my voice a little because it is one of those bands that I have been listening since my childhood and know all the songs. That means that I have sung all the songs (screamed them actually but ok) and tortured my voice that was already bad from all the coughing from days earlier when I was sick.

After the concert, we went to a local rock bar and there I had my first ever MARTINI. I have no idea why I waited so long to try one. This is the best, absolutely the best thing I have ever tried and it has become my favorite drink. Wine? What wine? Martini from now one please, thank you.

And yes, I saw John. John was cool and polite and we had a nice little talk him and me where he explained some things (after a couple of Martinis of course). I would have never thought that he was so talkative and open :)

Until next time,

It looks like you had a fun weekend going to Prljavci concert and listening to some of most favorite songs. I love Prljavo Kazaliste. They sure do have some amazing songs to sing along with. What is your favorite?

And, John Lennon looks a bit stoned and you look little tipsy in the last photo. Stoned and Tipsy is a perfect combination to have one deep, nice, conversation about life. hehe

Glad you had a great weekend, my friend. Sometimes we all need to have a glass of martini and lose our voices to our favorite songs. Well, maybe more than sometimes.. hehe

Thanks for sharing. Have an amazing start of the weekend. :)

Prljavci, really? Where the hell did you see them in that photo? :D This is Crvena Jabuka. Are you drunk? hahahahahaha :D
Yup, I did enjoy my weekend and John is a great person to talk about life :D

O crap. My bad. Well, there had to be something in my tea this morning. lolol Well, I like Crvena Jabuka as well. lol

Anyways, gonna go check my tea... lol

You do that honey, tea can play tricks on you too, especially when there is too much Brandy in it :D :D :D

hahaha thank you for the laugh, my friend. :)

Glad you enjoyed the concert and felt no fear. I can't imagine what it's like to have agoraphobia, but I've had (and have) other phobias, and it's astonishing how the mind can get programmed in this way. It feels so liberating and energising to realise that the fear has evaporated :)

Right? Best feeling in the world when realizing you are able to do what you once could not :)

Thanks for the heads up.
We will be waiting

Wow you had an amazing weekend I see. I am so happy to read how the transformation is happening for you and you are getting back to rock and roll times....hehehe.
Btw did you conduct the Hypnosis session or did you attend one. If you conducted one I will surely like to get some glimpse of it.

It was a seminar/workshop/lecture thing that I attended. It was quite interesting and I did learn a lot, especially about the technique itself and self-hypnosis with working on your subconscious. It was pretty cool but I am in a no way doing it to someone else until I master it on myself lol. The thing is, people expect that hypnosis is some fancy or supernatural thing. What it is, is a state of such relaxing that we become more suggestible than usual because our subconscious learns not through repetition (like usual) but through direct contact and that is very awesome.

I am sure it must be very interesting, I want to learn it too, but here in Muscat it is not possible, so I need to wait till I get back to India :-(

Oh my you had a busy weekend! Glad you came out of it happy and refreshed. Especially glad that you have overcome your psychotic episodes being in crowds. that must have been horrible, especially if you live in a city ( I assume you do by your weekend events) where there are often crowds.
Thanks for sharing -stay fit and happy!
