Happy Thursday 🎊 and a very warm welcome to my report. Thank you for stopping by as I breakdown how my day went including some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Let's not waste any more time, here we go again 💨.
So just like yesterday I was up early for my morning walk around the neighborhood. Largely a cloudy day as I made my way
After about 45 minutes to an hour, I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Later on, I was on YouTube watching the trending news and crypto related stuff.
My final walk, was the usual slow paced sunset 🌄 walk. Just around the city centre ending up at my workout corner in the park🌳.I made it back safe n sound calling it a day.
Let's now get into the trending stories.
As usual in the middle east, Gaza trending as another bloody day unfolded🙀. 51 people murdered across the strip in Israeli airstrikes😿.
Hospitals in Gaza say they are being overwhelmed by children suffering malnutrition😿, this as Israel let in just 100 food trucks. The UN has said Gaza needs atleast 500 trucks to get in to avert famine and death from hunger.
In the other war, I don't know how far Ukraine and Russia have gone on their ceasefire talks.
Across the pond in the US, a shocking case where a deranged gun man shot and killed an Israeli couple in Washington😿, they both worked for the Israeli embassy.
He shouted free Palestine as he was led away. PM Netanyahu has said security will be increased at all Israeli embassies abroad.
Israeli President, Isaac Herzog said he was “devastated” by what had unfolded in the US capital. I wonder if he is also devastated by the number of innocent Palestinians killed daily just across the border in Gaza?
Also trending, the Trump administration has banned Harvard University from enrolling international students🙀. Thousands of existing international students will have to transfer to other universities to keep their non- immigrant visas.
Harvard admits close to 6,000 students each year from abroad, now that has stopped and some of its funding from the Govt also cut🙀.
Those are huge losses and am sure they will definitely be going to court as they say the move is unconstitutional. Lets see how far this goes.
Finally, after the Harvard win, another win for Trump as his big beautiful tax bill went through😹. The legislation on tax spending has been passed by the US House of Representatives, won with a margin of one vote but that was enough.
The bill now heads for a ballot in the US senate which is Republican controlled, it most likely will sail through.
