Happy Sunday 😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. As always a day of gratitude and appreciating all the good things in our lives 💯.
Anyways, for me it's been another ordinary day and it's now time to break down how my stepping went and also the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
As always thank you for reading and let's get started💨.
I began my day with some stretching moves before heading out for a walk around the neighborhood and park. It was sunny morning then cloudy then sunny but mostly warm😹.
After about 30 minutes, I was back indoors ready to deal with the usual house chores including laundry and cooking.
Then I sat down to some of the trending stories on youtube, twitter and the rest.
Some interesting games were on in the EPL too.
The final evening walk was still around the neighbourhood, a little sunny and cloudy as I made my was, summer is coming by 7pm we still had a bit of sunshine.
With the stepping out of the way, let's have a look at what was trending around the world.
In Gaza the mass murder kept going with the death of 140 Palestinians in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hamas😿. The tents in the 'safe zone' of Al Mawasi were hit killing several people as they slept.
Israel says it will launch a large scale ground offensive in the coming days, so we can expect more horrific deaths, unfortunately🙀.
In the other war, Putin went ham on Ukraine with the largest ever drone attack. Russia fired 273 drones in the dead of the night🙀.
The Ukrainian military intercepted about 88 of them but some got through with visible damage and fires.
People rushed to underground substations as the sirens rang out all night. 1 Woman was killed and several people injured as the drones kept raining😿.
Still in Europe, Romania trending as polls closed showing no clear winner in the presidential election. Lets wait to see who wins. Not far off Poland concluded the presidential election, results pointing towards a runoff vote to take place later.
In Portugal elections, voters cast ballots for 230 parliamentary seats.
Also trending, Pope Leo the 14th has been formally inaugurated and has now officially began his papacy. Many world leaders, royals and prominent people attended that mass including a crowd of close to 250,000 outside St. Peter's Basilica.
In his message he still insisted on world peace and an end to wars in Gaza and Ukraine. He later met president Zelensky who was at the event.
Across the pond in the US, a Mexican navy ship hit the iconic Brooklyn bridge, it had 250 people on board, two of which lost their life while several others were injured🙀. Authorities say the bridge remains structurally sound and has been re-opened.
Finally, sad news about former president Biden who has been diagnosed with aggressive form of prostrate cancer😿.
Remember he lost a son to brain cancer in 2015. Please keep him in your prayers, cancer is quite a horrible disease but one day someone somewhere will get a lasting solution, it's just a matter of time💯.
