Happy Thursday 🎊 and a very warm welcome to my report. Thursday is the sexy cousin of Friday😹, a laid back day for taking things as they come and moving on with life.
As always thank you for stopping by and do keep reading as I breakdown my stepping of the day and share some of today's trending stories.
Let's quickly slide in 💨.
So I started off at around 9am with a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood.
The sun 🌞 was out and the breeze was quite welcoming, so glad the heatwave is gone.
Later I was back indoors for a warm cup ☕ before getting on with the usual chores around the house.
Then I followed up on the trending news and watched some YouTube videos too.
My last walk came around 7pm as I love to conclude the day with the slow paced evening walk. A wonderful walk and the sunset 🌄 was just beautiful.
Next let's look at what was trending around the globe.
Starting off in Gaza, the mass murder kept going with 64 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hamas. Some of them killed at 'humanitarian' food distribution centres😿.
One of the Gaza aid contractor admitted to BBC he saw his colleagues fire live bullets at hungry Palestinians🙀.
UN special rapporteur, Francesca Albanese has described the situation in Gaza as apocalyptical. She has urged nations to impose a full arms embargo on Israel and suspend all trade agreements🙀. Further that Israel is responsible for one of the cruelest genocides in modern day history.
In her report, she says major companies are complicit and profiting from the suffering in Gaza🙀. Among named companies are microsoft, alphabet, amazon, ibm, and palantir technologies🙀.
In the other war, Putin has maintained that Russia must achieve all its goals in Ukraine🙀.
Means he will keep bombing.
In the UK, death of Liverpool player Diogo Jota has left the football world in shock🙀.
He died in a car accident in Spain, double tragedy for the family as his brother who was in the car died too. Diogo was 28 and had just married his long time girlfriend two weeks ago. It is very sad😿.
Across the pond in the US, Trump's big beautiful bill has passed through the house of representatives and now awaits his signature to become law.
In the House of representatives Republicans hailed tax cuts that would be brought by the bill; However, Democrats said they feared life for the poor would get worse and also the ballooning of public debt that the bill will bring🙀.
Finally, the crazy heatwaves in Europe have caused wild fires in Turkey and Greece. In greece there have been evacuation from homes and hotels as authorities battle to put out the fires. Lets hope everyone stays safe💯.
