Happy Sunday😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. As always a day of gratitude and appreciating all the good things in our lives 💯.
For me it's been another ordinary day and it's now time to break down how my stepping went and also the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
As always thank you for reading and let's dive in 💨.
I began my day with some stretching moves before heading out for a walk around the neighborhood and park. The sun 🌞 was making for a beautiful day though the breeze was quite chilly.
After about 20 minutes, I was back indoors ready to deal with the usual house chores including laundry and cooking.
The afternoon saw me indoors checking out some YouTube videos and also trending news from around the world.
There were also some interesting matches in the EPL. Liverpool still remain the top team after winning against Wolves.
As I walked around the Emirates stadium later, there were loud cheers from inside as Arsenal women thrashed their neighbors Tottenham women's team😹.
That was my final walk this evening before heading back home and calling it a day.
With that out of the way, let's have a look at what was trending around the world.
Starting off in Gaza, an Israeli airstrike killed 3 Palestinian policemen😿, I don't know what happened there. I thought the ceasefire was on.
Isreal is still blocking the entry of close to 60,000 temporary shelters and heavy machinery😿.
Speaking of Israel, US secretary of state, Marco Rubio made his first trip to ME, meeting Netanyahu in West Jerusalem.
He reiterated Trump's plan of permanently displacing Palestinians from Gaza🙀.
Netanyahu has warned Hamas that all gates of hell will open if the fail to release any of the Israeli captives🙀.
In the other war, Russian drones have hit Ukranian power plants leaving residents reeling from cold weather😿.
Meanwhile Russian troops have been advancing towards Pokrovsk in Ukraine's Donetsk region🙀.
Also trending, EU leaders are going to hold emergency Ukraine talks in Paris ,ahead of US/Russia talks in Saudi Arabia.
President Macron will be hosting.
EU leaders are watching closely to see the outcome of Trump/Putin meeting that Ukraine has not been invited to😹.
Ahead of the emergency summit with European leaders in Paris on Monday, UK PM Keir Starmer has said the UK was prepared to contribute to security guarantees to Ukraine by putting its own troops on the ground if necessary.
Still in the UK, Conclave and the Brutalist have won big at the BAFTA awards. Usually a pre cursor of what we may see at the Oscars.
Across the pond in the US, at least 9 dead, including 8 in Kentucky as winter storms batter the US🙀. My sincere condolences to bereaved families😿.
Finally, Taiwan has detected 24 Chinese military aircrafts near its territory😹. China will never divorce Taiwan, though Taiwan has begged to be left alone so many times😿 probably will be a messy divorce😹.
