Yesterday we cleaned our verandah area to set up the new barbecue I got for Christmas. This bbq is an awesome upgrade on the one we previously had - it took up a lot of space and was unloved. This is compact and very easy to use.

The table it’s sitting on is only temporary - we plan to build a box over the top of the air conditioning unit in the corner (ETA unknown).

For its first workout we chucked on some potatoes, cobs of corn and Linda McCartney sausages, followed by pineapple for dessert. We were very happy with the result!

Today’s activity included walks to and from the train station at both ends and before school playground duty.
