My Actifit Report Card: May 10 2019

in #actifit6 years ago

It was a busy day for me and I'm trying to write this report fast to get in today.

I rode about 20 miles on my ebike through some real nice country areas. No traffic or semi-trucks were around today. Just some pleasant views of the mountains and lakes.

I also played disc golf with my son and scored two over par on a nine basket course.

Thanks for reading! I will be back to posting more photos and other longer reports when I get more time to do so.

Very good @lightsplasher and you are still enjoying disc golfing while actifiting and steeming :D

Sounds like a good and fun day

11k+ nice count, kudos.

The new ebike and the nice weather has been helpful to improve my activity. I have less time for posting and commenting though.

And we can't wait to see your pictures soon

A very short report. 20 miles on the bike is awesome.

11654 steps today, good jobs @lightsplasher

Thank you. It is easier to get higher counts with the nice weather and new ebike. When I was just starting, consistantly getting over 5K of steps was something a bit difficult.

Hopefully there will always be an increase

I'm glad you're enjoying your ebike! How far can you ride on a charge? I don't know much about ebikes, do you have the option to manually pedal if you run out of charge?

I'm trying to figure out how far my range is. It really depends on how much you use the battery. On the lowest setting it uses around fifty watts so perhaps that would run for over twelve hours unless the specs are off or I'm misunderstanding something. The bike is not much fun to pedal on this setting though and the average speed would be slow - maybe 12 mph? It sure seems like it might go over a hundred miles on that setting. You can pedal it on a dead battery but it is a very heavy bike so it would be hard.

It would be fun to get a ride up to the top of some pass and pedal down it. The bike recovers energy into the battery on braking so the range would be even longer on a long downhill like that.

@lightsplasher My friend that has one to take his dog for walks never goes very far so he didn't really know the range of his. At least the ability to pedal it with no battery is an option in an emergency, even if it's not something you would want to do.

That would a be fun ride down from the top of a hill!
