Incredible olfactory abilities provided by special additional receptors include social communication, rapid signal identification and accurate food location search. Smell receptors thrive so they can detect different types of flowers with pollen from a distance.
Insects have fast flapping wings. They pack up to 200 beats per second, causing their relationship to sound buzzing. They can also travel up to a maximum of 6 miles continuously at 15 miles per hour.
The process of bee work on average about 1/12 teaspoon of honey in its age range.
For each trip collection of honey, a bee will visit about 50 to 100 different flowers.
Bee brain is oval and the size of sesame seeds. However, it has the ability to track the distance covered, the direction and efficiency of feeding.
