The teaching of listening(2)
There are many possible commands that young learners can practice. We only select action verb such as stand up, sit down, walk, skip, bop, turn, stop, pick up, put down, sing, touch, frown, catch and so on. These verbs can be combined with nouns or other part of speech to make up simple spoken command to comprehend.
The beginning-level student in listening does not understand well the linguistic categories related to English must be heard. He listens to English as undifferentiated sound; it is word units or phonemic system. Sounds that native speaker thinks different may be thought as the same sounds for non-native one. Non native speaker is not familiar with rulers of word formation, inflections, or word order. Their vocabulary remembering does not exist. Teacher must follow principles for the beginner so that the beginner has a chance to understand with limited acquisition toward the coming of stimulus.
