I’m very excited to be part of the steemit crypto academy where members obtain vast knowledge about various types of cryptocurrency including how to invest and gain more from cryptocurrency.

To start with, I want to talk about the first question which is

what is PoB?

PoB stands for Proof-of- Brain. Steemit is platform that rewards it users based on their creativity and skills. In steemit your creativity and skills you put in your content earns you your reward for this fact that PoB is originated from. PoB consist of three basic things which are the reward pool, steem power and independent knowledge or creativity to determine good or bad content. The reward pool of the PoB can be earned by publishing content and writing comments on the content of others and curating contents. For you to earn more tokens these are the basics you can do to earn. PoB reward pool consist of 65% of the total reward. Steem power is one thing that PoB also contain which determines your influence on a post or in a community. With lots of steem power you have greater influence when you’re upvoting or downvoting a post. The last part of the PoB is the creative part of the user to publish post and determine bad or good contents. All these comes together to form the PoB.

what does curation mean to you in steem blockchain?

Curation is very important aspect when it comes to earning from steem. You either get an upvote or downvote base on the content you post.

• Curation involves reading the posts. The post should be creative and understandable for everyone. When post become creative and presentable it’s attracts curators to vote on post.

• Whenever one curating a post its advisable to check the source of the post and also find out if it’s not misleading. Post that are not from reliable sources or misleading will not attract curators and persons found doing this may get downvote. The authenticity of the post is very important in steemit and it’s one of the basic work of curators when curating post.

• Plagiarized post are not welcome in steemit as well since plagiarism does not give recognition to the real work. During curating it’s very important to check if a post is plagiarized or not before curating. If a post is being plagiarized the post is being reported and the author of the post does not get any reward on that post.

• Resteem post to share with followers to help spread the post with followers.

Creative and unique posts get high upvote while bad or plagiarized post gets downvote. Those with very high steem power like @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02 and more have much influence in curating a post. For you to get much benefit in curating a post it’s advisable to always power up your steem power in order earn from post you curate. Each post curated by the curator; the author get 50% of the total earnings while the curator also get 50%. Also whenever we are voting it’s very important to take note of the voting window. Every post in steemit gets upvote or downvote on 7 day time frame before the post pays out. For the first 5mins of the 7 days time frame which is also known as Reverse Auction; the curator does not get 100% of the curation reward. For a curator to get 100% of the curation vote then it’s advisable to always curate on. The curator vote lost on the Reverse Auction window returns to the reward pool. A curator who wants 100% curating vote should vote on post which it’s time frame starts from 5minutes to 7th day. When a vote is curated after the 7th day the curator does not get any monetary earnings from the post.

what are the benefits of building SP?

Steem power has lots of benefits to the person holding it and a community as a whole. Steem power also known as influencing power. As the name suggests the more steem you posses the more influence you have. When someone with high steem power upvote on a post it’s generate high reward pool and vice versa.

SteemPower holders gets their benefits in two ways; monetary benefits and non monetary benefits.
The money benefits are

• Curation reward; whenever a curator upvotes on a post the curator earns a curating reward. The amount of rewards a curator gets from curating a post depends on the steem power the curator has. So t he higher the steem power the greater the reward and vice versa.

• In steemit also rewards its users TRX. The number of steem power you get is equal to the number of TRX reward you’ll get in the ratio 1:1. As many steem power one get is the same as TRX you get.

The Non monetary benefits are
Actively participating in blockchain governance hence contribute an important role in managing the activities of steemit, also helps in building a community by supporting its members and supporting them through curating and finally becoming an influencer and earning followers.

How do you explain self-upvote as a good or bad social behavior & why?

Self-upvote to me bad social behavior since the author doesn’t go through the various stages of curation before being curated hence this act brings encourages less creativity and plagiarism. A post should be assessed and curated based on its creativity and content it has. When self-upvote there’s bias which is not good and it’s bad social behavior for this reason self-upvote is a bad social behavior.

What are the different tokens do you earn by socializing in Steem Blockchain?

Steemit reward its users with three main tokens which are the steem dollar, steem and TRX.

Steem dollar a token rewarded to the user by a curator. The steem dollar has to be exchanged first before it can be used. Based on your preference you can convert SBD into steem or steem power.

Steem
Steem is the basic coin of steemit and it’s currently values $0.4861. It can be transferred to anyone in steemit and also converted to other cryptocurrencies.

TRX
TRX is a token from the Tron. Steemit also reward it users with TRX. Every user is steemit is rewarded in steemit with TRX in the ration of one steem power : one TRX. Which means the more steem power you have the more TRX you earn.
