The Puertas de Miraflores are limestone rock walls of 150m high, located in the Miraflores sector, Acosta municipality of Monagas State. It has routes for Rock Climbing that are among the highest in the country, with difficulties between 5.7 to 5.13c and are considered among the best climbing walls in South America because they are extra-plumb in the language of climbers; but Las Puertas de Miraflores is not just for climbers; they are an excellent and highly recommended walk to go hiking, observe nature and take a good river bath, since it is accessed by a path in the middle of a lush forest with several river passes. The Guarapiche River between the rock walls forms a beautiful canyon where there is a pool of crystalline water, ideal for a good cold water restorative bath. The route is approx. 1 and 1/2 hours on foot, round trip, and is 45min from the farm (50km from Caripe). It is recommended to bring swimwear, towels and shoes that can be submerged in the water, as well as some snacks for the road. At the beginning of the trail is the smallest river in the world; They call it the "Mapurite" river, it was born from a large spring and flows into the Guarapiche River a few meters away.miraflores.jpg
