Harvests by Jean-François Millet.
Harvests by Jean-François Millet.
To divide an orange into slices when there are many of us and he is alone the right thing to do, but not in the case of paintings when they all have the same meaning.
Forgive me Jean-François Millet for the audacity of thought and coloring which I am ready to pour out in my post discussing his paintings.
"Woman Feeding Her Children", "Death and the Woodcutter" and "The Gleaners" are paintings that look different, but there is one nuance!
And this something subtle made me violate the conditions and I will violate them without delay because there is only one theme here and it is the harvest!
Yes, the harvest can be different and this is definitely the result of the work of a farmer in the country or a mushroom picker's walk through the forest.
"The Gleaners" are shouting this to us all from the canvas: there will be no hunger there will be no poverty for those whose hut is full of bread.
The calm look of "The Woman Feeding Her Children" and full stomachs, copper and silver in the pocket and this is not a joke.
A good harvest does good for those who buy and for those who sell.
A woodcutter's harvest is a bundle of firewood and a warm house hot coals in the grill, and death's harvest is this - good and evil in the days of the woodcutter's life.
There is a time for everything to reap and to sow, and how abundant the harvest will be in Millet's painting "Death and the Woodcutter" I have no answer.
It's hard for me to say how poetic my post for Concurso de Arte y Escritura #148 y Ganadores de la Edición #147/ Art and Writing Contest #148 y Ganadores de la Edición #147 organized by Dear @solperez turned out to be, since I am not a native English speaker.
I invite my friends @eii @ranartblog @xaviduran to take part.
Zoom in on a photo for a closer view.
More to come!
Enjoy viewing the photos and reading the article!
Have a blessed day!
