SLC27-W2 // Desserts From Milk

Greetings Sweet Friends!


I’m happy to partake again in Season 27 – Week 2 of the Learning Challenge. This week is each about desserts prepared with milk — one of the most protean constituents in every kitchen. Milk can produce so numerous amazing sweets that it’s hard to pick precisely one favorite!

The Magic of Milk Desserts

Milk desserts are unique because they’re encouraging, sophisticated, and quenching. They remind us of family fests, academy holidays, and cozy gloamings. Among all, custard is one of the easiest and most loved desserts in numerous homes. It’s various, delicate, and can be served in different styles with fruits, galettes, biscuits, or jelly.

For this week’s challenge, I chose to form commodity simple yet ingenious — Layered Creamy Fruit Custard — my interpretation of a classic that’s constantly a collide in our house.


My Recipe Layered Creamy Fruit Custard

Ingredients

Full- fat Milk – 1 liter

Vanilla Custard Powder – 4 scoops

Sugar – 4 spoons( acclimate to taste)

Fresh Cream – 3 spoons

Fruits – Banana, Apple, Grapes, Mango( any of your choice)

Cake or biscuits – for layering( elective)

Jelly – 1 packet( elective)

Diced nuts – almonds, pistachios for topping

Preparation Steps

1. Boil the Milk

Pour one liter of milk into a saucepan and induce it to a soothing pustule. Add sugar and combine freely.

2. Mix the Custard Powder

In a slim bowl, dissolve custard powder in a little chill milk. whirl until svelte — form assured no lumps stay.

3. Cook the Custard

Slowly stream the custard admixture into the steaming milk while stirring continuously. Keep cuisine on equatorial heat until the custard thickens and turns silklike. Turn off the flame and let it cold.

4. Prepare jelly

In the pan I add some water and add jelly mixture to make a jelly when jelly mixture completely dissolved in water I poured in the mold and chill in refrigerator for 2 hour to set it well after jelly is ready I cut it into cubes pieces.

5. Assemble Your Dessert

In a bowl, add a layer of cutlet or biscuits, also some fruits, supervened by custard. Repeat the layers as you want.

6. Decorate and Chill

Top it with diced nuts, jelly cells, or a many pieces of fruit for beautifier. Keep it in the cool and chill for at least two hours before serving.

My Experience

This dessert is one of my effortless and fortuitous to form. The only carefulness demanded is to commemorate stirring while cooking so that no lumps form. I delighted prepping it because of its colors, delicate texture, and freshening taste.


When I Love to Make It

I naturally prep this custard for birthday factions, Eid festivities, or Sunday house lunches. It adds brilliance to the dining board and brings smiles to everyone’s countenances. It’s correspondingly a complete dessert to serve after a weighty meal because it feels light and cold.
