Guests over weekend

Hello my dear Steemians,
My weekend this time was almost NIL, we had very busy week since we returned home. We had 5 working days and it was not much time in teh evenings. You know that often we hope to have nice weekend and that is somehting people wish each other. This time when my colleagues wished me that I did not feel so good because I had some visitors for this weekend, family members. Often we can not say no to family members, at least it is for me not so easy. So I agreed and it was the case that for me that was a busy weekend too.
What people like to do when they visit Scotland? They would like to see many typical Scottish places. For us of course, it was then i mportant to visit Edinburgh and we had spent our time in capital of Scotland. Actually it was a day when Trump also visited our country. Luckily his golf places are not in our area and we had no restriction of traffic or demosntration.
Today, we explore our place locally because it was a bit rainy. Also, I had to cook and to make sure that our guests are rested and we will not be late to the flight.

The evening today we had the trip to Airport and here is hte typical symbol of Edinburgh Airport. The flight was local so it was not much hassle to get through all teh checking and border control. We were back home and now having some rest for us, me and my hubby, enjoying the rest of our few hours of the evening.

Family visits do seem to have a way of disrupting our lives, even when we really like our visitors. I always feel quite relieved when we get our space back!
Hope the visit goes well.

That is true, do you think that this feeling is getting more and more disruptive once we get older? At least it seems this way for me. I hope that it is not true and it is just because we are tired. Anyway, I must say it is a great feeling of freedom and relaxation :)

Stef, I think as we get older we become more used to "doing things a certain way," and when visitors come, we end up having to use a different routine.
I remember my auntie in Denmark always having lots of family visitors... I lived with her for longer periods of time (months) and she was always relieved to see the end of guests. Her point was that she was not as energetic as she once was... and having to be "on" for visitors took more energy than when she was younger.
A very nice post.
