Shining Your Light In A Dark World: The Message Of Easter
Today is celebrated almost throughout the world as the Easter day, but it is surprising that some people may not even know the significance and the message behind the celebration. Just to let you know, this season is not just about to dine and wine but a reflection of the impact that you need to create in humanity. A few hours ago, a friend was telling me how her husband and her bought some food items to distribute to their neighbours so that they can also celebrate the season. This is an act of humanity. This season reminds us of the need to put smiles on the faces of others, and to do so as a lifestyle.

The world of today is already full of the deprived and the depraved, and the people without hopes of the next resources to survive on. The "darkness" that has engrossed the present world has become so increased that a lot of unheard things are being done just to survive. At this point in time, the little act of kindness that you show can and will definitely restore hope to someone - it can go a long way to give life to someone in a dying world. This is what the message of Easter entails. If no one feels your impact in this season, then you are not living to the full expectation of what the season signifies.
Just to let you know; it does not matter where you are at the moment and the level of your ability, there is still something within your reach that can actually affect someone else's life positively. It might not even be something big, but something that you can afford. You will be surprised that the seemingly little things of life may hold so much importance than you can ever imagine. More often than not, it is not the size of what you have done nor the cost that it has imposed on you that truely matters, but the very little things of life, from a kind heart, a true smile, and sense of humanity will make a whole lot of difference. If you have a heart for humanity, something from you will also drop for them. This is why I believe that where your heart is, your treasures will naturally follow suit.
When you let your light to shine to the dark world through your acts of kindness, you are not only making the world a better place, but you are also making people better.

When you are blessed, part of the primary reasons is so that you will also bless humanity. You are not to consume everything on "me, myself, and I," remember that there are people who do not have hopes of living but merely existing - you can give them the hope to live. Just to let you know, what you do today and your acts of kindness is never a waste, they are like sowing good seeds into your future. It is true that the person you have shown kindness to might not be able to pay you back, but nature never forgets. One way or the other, you will get you payment.
Shining your light to the dark world is not just about what you say but by your actions. I remember a parable that a friend once told. A man was in need of urgent help with what to eat, then he went to a certain rich and highly placed man for help. The rich man, with his sweet words, kept preaching to him about the potentials that lie inside him and how he should hope for something better, but ended up not helping him. Then he met someone, a commoner, on his way out, who was having his meal and called him to eat with him. At the end of the day, it was the commoner who shined the light to the world. It is not what you have, your possession, nor your position of power, that matters, but how you have used the same things to help humanity.
In this Easter season, look beyond the celebration; let it be more than eating an drinking. But it should be a challenge to you to rish up and help humanity. You may not help every soul on earth, but within your neighborhood, around you, and even among your family and friends, there is someone you can cause to smile. It is what you do to make someone better that actually makes you a better person, and that is what humanity demands. Try to do good this season, but much than that, it should not only be limited to just one particular season, but make it a lifestyle.
