Painting Album Covers on Old CDs | Lana Del Rey - Born to Die
I had this idea for a long time, but I don't know why I hadn't done it. I had thought of doing this idea, not on old CDs, but on some wall in my room. Since I had said that when I painted my room, which I did, I was going to paint all my favorite albums on some wall. But I had all these old CDs that I didn't want to throw away and that's when it came to my mind to paint album covers on these CDs.

Going through my Deezer library, I realized that I hadn't listened to my dear Lana Del Rey for a long time, that's when I decided to paint one of her albums.
I remember when I started listening to Lana's music, back in 2012. They were instrumental and a totally different genre for me, since I had only listened to Pop or Rock. But even though I hadn't heard that kind of music before, I fell totally in love with the melodies and lyrics of it. It was then that I gradually fell in love with Alternative Pop.
I think it was thanks to Lana Del Rey that I was discovering more artists in the alternative genre, like Florence and The Machine, who do Indie, but more alternative. And well, my fanaticism for Lorde, I think it is also due to Lana.
The process of the same begins by painting the disc white, in order to work much better on it. Then I make the sketch, then I go on to paint and finally I make a couple of details with wood colors if necessary.
