Reasons I don't like Binance's "Vote to Delist" and I won't use it
I suppose you've heard about this new initiative by Binance, called "Vote to Delist".
I have to admit, that I don't like it at all.
There is this saying, "behind every corporate decision there is a beautiful and then a real reason"
We see and read the "beautiful" reason - involving the "community" in taking the decisions about the future of the centralized exchange.
The real reasons, at least what I suspect them to be, aren't painting a bright future.
Probably Binance is planning to lay off some analysts or just want to get rid of some responsibility. Or both.
Probably that's all driven by the wish to increase profits.
Truth is, there are too many things right now that raise questions. More questions.
For instance - few thousands votes is too little. Imagine voting wars among competitive crypto projects and chains. Nothing different than RL, right...
Also - that requirement to hold BNB to be able to vote - doesn't that feel like a cheap trick to increase BNB value and trade volume?
Then, 10k "invalid" votes? This isn't an election, why are such votes allowed at all?
I know, I won't get answers to those.
Come on, Binance, you can do better. I hope you do!
My trust in Binance isn't depleted yet, but is definitely less than last year.

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
i've been thinking something similar. have you noticed they list too many shitcoins lately? much more than before and more frequently.
Yeah, right, almost every day.
The positive side is they give a notice and a countdown to listing the coin so those who are interested could invest in front.
Or that just shifts the trade a couple of days ahead and somewhere else :)))
I agree. That frequent listing may make them look more dynamic and oriented towards adopting new crypto projects but brings a lot of instability to the exchange. We will see what future brings for sure.
