Kernos, Upgrades, and That Climb to the Top

I wasn't expecting much from today's session, but that changed fast when I thought of upgrading Kernos and Crogle.

Kernos features a three-headed monster that appears frightening and actually is.

When I added it to my deck, I noticed an immediate difference. It generated 234 mining power per day, and when I leveled it up to Level 2, I could tell the difference.

My deck is stable right now, with all 5 cards giving me a total of 1,928 ATK. That's about 964 Nova a day, which is a good amount, but it's not only the numbers that keep me going. It's the feeling that I'm making progress, little by little.

I feel like every card I earn or upgrade adds something new to my approach. My deck looks and feels a lot more serious now that two unique cards are in it.

Of course, it all goes back to the leaderboard. That's where the true work shows. At the top, players like iamheretoo (9,176 ATK), blackrance (8,392), and backdm (8,292) are in charge. I'm in 13th place, and even though my ATK isn't near yet, I see the gap becoming less every day. Little by little. One upgrade at a time.

One thing I've learned is that big wins don't usually help you move forward in this game. It's the little things that add up: smart synths, the proper card combos, and leveling up at the appropriate time. It wasn't luck that Kernos got. It comes from being there, working hard, and taking action when the chance came along. And now, its mining power is working every day to make me stronger for what's ahead.

That's what I like about Cryptid Hunter: it doesn't just reward large pulls or flashy plays. It appreciates being patient. Plan. Staying the same. Every option you make is important, whether you're stacking your first few cards or striving to get into the top 10. For me, though, the goal hasn't changed: keep climbing, card by card, until I reach the top tier.
