Rise of waning crescent over Cathedral Courtyard

For eight years on this platform, a lot of words have been said in my posts about shooting moonrise and moonset. There were probably hundreds of photographs of the moon in its various phases. I've studied this process inside and out, and I've known the drill....or what other epithets can be used to describe the vast experience in photographing the satellite of our planet.

And here is another moonrise in the phase of the waning crescent in Veliky Ustyug over the Cathedral Courtyard.

As usual, everything is calculated using a special application.

As usual, I knew in advance where I would go and from which point I would shoot.

But after all these years (I started shooting the moon back in 2013), I still watch in awe as something luminous, huge, and cosmic appears over the horizon.

People are used to seeing the moon high in the sky, but when you show them the process of leaving the horizon, they are surprised and say that they are seeing this for the first time.

I advise everyone at least once, not even for the sake of a photo, but just to observe this magic of nature.

And I will continue to observe and take pictures.
