Remaining dugouts in Ananyino
The photo project about dugouts involves documenting household structures for storing vegetables that go back in time. But sometimes I visit old places to see how things are going with the cellars. In Ananyino, they begin to disappear...
A couple of years ago, there were twice as many of them here, but now in many places the cellars have been demolished and huge pits remain in their place.
Moreover, the dugouts are pointwise removed.
I suspect that someone could have bought this territory for the construction of a house, but not all cellar owners were able to negotiate the demolition.
I cannot yet understand another reason for such a massive increase.
It is also possible that the cellars were illegally installed (although they are all illegal) and they are trying to demolish them gradually.
By the way, after the publication, someone sent a complaint about my post.
Most likely, the locals didn't like that I was showing the location of the cellars.
I hope it's not because of me that they started demolishing them.
I have already noticed more than once places where new houses or some kind of enterprises were built on the site of the dugouts.
This can be tracked thanks to different satellite maps, where the images were taken in different years.
I don't think a place like this is suitable for building a house...although anything is possible now.
There are places, for example, in Sokol, where the cellars simply disappeared from dilapidation and nothing appeared in their place.
They were specially dismantled in Ananyino.
I would not say that I strongly regret the disappearance of some cellars.
But these are the ones that are very dear to me, as they contain a strong memory code.
