Night views of Vohtoga

Vohtoga is a working settlement in the Gryazovetsky district of the Vologda region. Vologda regional center is 100 km away. The road here is excellent in quality, but so winding that it is even dangerous.

When I was driving here from Gryazovets – about 50 and a little kilometers - I literally broke out in a sweat!

Wet asphalt, night and continuous turns. I came across only one small straight section of road.

There is a railway in Vohtoga. The village developed in the 30s of the last century in the field of logging.

There were periods in my life when I treated such places differently.

Once I would have been incredibly bored here, then there was a period when, on the contrary, I began to love only such places.

Right now, the main thing for me is to have at least a small river and at least a small elevation difference.

That is, it should not just stand houses on some flat terrain, but I want to see the interaction of the landscape with man-made objects.

This is not only in terms of photos, but also in terms of the opportunity to take an interesting walk and feel the place.

Vohtoga kindly provided such an opportunity!

Of course, I only looked at a very small part, as I was driving for the cellars.

I am sure that if I manage to visit here again, I will walk around at least half of the village.
